Manchester based embroidery artist who creates kits, runs classes and does commissions.
Evans Sent is a creative outlet which allows me to express my cheeky humour, as well as tackling the issues of body positivity and self-confidence.
As a way to spread a little joy this year, I am offering a FREE Introduction to Thread Journaling class. Simply join the Facebook group or subscribe to the mailing list to watch.
The "Sew Unique Journal Club" on Facebook is a lovely community of creative folk who are also completing their own thread journal.
You can also watch the FREE "Introduction to Thread Journaling Class" here...
After creating a 2019 and 2020 thread journal of my own, I wanted to share the skills that I have learnt.
I have collated my monthly released focus sheets and classes from 2020 to help you to learn a new technique each month, building your repertoire of embroidery skills and enabling you to create your very own Thread Journal.

Boobie & Willy Doodle
Created as a way to embrace and celebrate our differences, these Boobie Doodle and Willy Doodle designs have been recreated by many in the form of my embroidery kits.
For those less crafty folks, the designs are celebrated on totes, ceramic and enamel mugs as well as size inclusive T-shirt’s; ranging from Small (Superb), through to 5XL (eXtra Luscious).
The Embrace Project
My latest embroidery series is called The Embrace Project. To embrace something is to welcome it with open arms, hold, hug, accept it completely. This series features 75+ wonderful womxn in all shapes and sizes, from all over the globe and all walks of life. All beautiful in their own unique way, their bodies telling stories of life & love, nurturing & growth, difficulties & accomplishments; yet almost every single photo received also came with an apology for some perceived imperfection.
Each image is sketched into a pattern design, stitched into an embroidery, celebrated as prints and collated as a poster. I’m hoping that this project will help everyone to see that individualities are what makes every one of us beautiful, special and unique.
Where it all began...
After the birth of my daughter in 2017, I made the major life decision to leave my successful (but very stressful!) recruitment business to become a stay at home Mum.
Desperate for a bit of quiet, creative, “me time” I began embroidering to balance the constant running around after a little person. This quickly developed into my small business, Evans Sent.
